This is a good successor to Maitland! Writing my assignment recently, recently searched andread the Maitland's piece on how the trust was a progenitor of the corporation. The history chapter of this book is amazing; it seamlessly continues Maitland. Unbeliveable.

This book is a true explorer of legal concept. Although it is a doctoral thesis, the author has not allowed theory to dominate. As a practitioner, I truly appreciate the task which this author has set for himself and the achievement he has made. For any serious practitioner in the mutual fund industry, this is a real gem, sound in principle and pragmatic in perspective.
