| Customer Reviews:
a hard read May 17, 2008 F Lefranc (UK) I bought this book to help me with the Architect's post-graduate professional course (RIBA Part3). The book is very thorough and describes numerous of contract types, issues, clauses and cases. It tries to have an overall view, a detailed view, and have a bit of an opinion as well. I found it remarquable by its scope, but a hard read, because sometimes the points made are not very clear, there are loads of contradictions, and the cases are a bit tortuous. It could be because of the obscure character of the law itself, but I found myself struggling through it.
An easy to understand law book! March 25, 2008 Mr. John A. Worthy 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this book in advance of starting a construction law module for a masters course. I think its fair to say that it explained concepts and issues very clearly and proved to be a reliable, indispensable and comforting reference throughout the course. I would recommend it to anyone studying or in practice.
Excellent Book for the intermediate - advanced February 22, 2002 36 out of 37 found this review helpful
I bought the previous version of this book based around JCT 80 forms (as well as ICE etc) as a student in 1998. I have since bought this version as a professional surveyor as it an invaluable reference.Complicated issues explained well. Goes well with Understanding JCT Contracts for the more basic principles.
