4 out of 5 stars A useful guide   October 15, 2008

If you are currently studying Law or have recently graduated, then many of the themes in this book will be familiar terrirtory to you. Nevertheless I still found the book to be a useful guide and the examples provided of interview questions were an invaluable addition.

The book is clear and straightforward and took little more than a hour for me to read which I find to be a benefit. It gets straight to the point without loosing any of the important details.

For anyone who is considering Law as a career or a subject to study, then this is a very useful book to have in your personal library, as you ideally need to research and apply to Law firms very early on, during your studies, therefore the sooner you equip yourself with the requisite knowledge-the better!

5 out of 5 stars Brilliant! Highly recommend it. Essential reading for anyone applying for a training contract.   January 2, 2008

The best and most useful book I have found on this subject. It walks you through the different types of law firms out there, what to expect as a trainee solicitor and gives you tips on how to write top-level application forms for the most competitive firms. The '200 example questions they could ask at interview' are priceless- as are the model answers and case studies. Read this before you even think about applying! It will save you time and leave you feeling confident about your training contract applications and interviews.
